Why Fraternity?

A college fraternity exists on the premise that man is by nature a social being and wants to associate with his fellow man. He cannot associate equally with all of them, or even many of them, but he may enjoy a close relationship with some of them. And fraternity provides a structure, an environment in which intimate friendships can flourish. It is by no means the only kind of organization in which a student may find friends. Indeed, the typical student requires no organization at all to make friends, nor does anyone in a fraternity confine his friendships exclusively to fellow members of the group. But a fraternity does foster brotherhood in an extremely effective way, its members drawn together by shared goals and common experiences. It is also more likely than not, that a young man will find in a fraternity friends whose interests and background are different from his own. Learning to live in close relationships with members of a large group is a thoroughly valuable experience. Social action anywhere requires organization and on-campus fraternities are among the most effective promoters of group activity because they are organized.

BIGGEST FIRE IN CEBU

April 07, 2009

The University of San Carlos Alumni takes pride by donating used clothes for the victims of Barangay San Antonio and Barangay Sta. Cruz Fire which is the biggest fire that was hit in the city this year. April 14, 2009 ATO alumni along with other friends officially handed to the Barangay Councilor Reynold Zamora in behalf of Sta Cruz Capt. Jerome Lim at the barangay office.

In the News ABS CBN reportedly that 200 homes/establishment/boarding house we're ashed.
And the good news is no reports of casualties or injuries as a result of the fire

Activities that make us strong & proud. Let not lack of time, effort, and gold be a hindrance for such strength and pride. Instead let these activities be a start for sharing our time, effort, and gold to ATO. Be a Servant, Be a Model.... Soar high ATO!

The University of San Carlos (USC) Alpha Chapter once again joining the Gawad Kalinga Program (ATO ni BAI! Bayanihan) last August 31, 2008 in Barangay Budlaan, Talamban Cebu City. This Gawadnihan Project is voluntarily joined by the new Alumni brod lumacang, brod cuyos and brod manosour with the undergrads brod belarmino, brod macabeo, brod tugal, brod luzares and brod escoreal and also brod Raul Aguilar alumnus from South Western University (SWU) Delta Chapter.

In this event we create friendship among other organizations specially to the youth organization the youth for christ, the GK volunteers and the IFSC.
